Russell Watson, one of our favorite vocalists of all time is appearing at London Royal Festival Hall June 12th and on current UK tour. We are so pleased he is touring and doing well. His interview on Paul O’Grady is great. He is so sweet, open and funny! Check it out and if you get a chance to see him in concert, it is a MUST-SEE…he is fantastic. We are hoping for a new DVD soon — please Russell!!!
If you love great voices and haven’t experienced Celtic Thunder, you are in for a treat. Wow! The mix of these five guys, both as ensemble and individually, is just a delight of sight and sound. We are particularly enamored by the incredible voice of Damian McGinty (a youngster who will give our favorite, Josh Groban, a run for sure with his powerful voice and he is 12 years younger!). They will be touring in the US and Canada this fall-winter and are a must-see concert.
The long-awaited tour dates have been announced for Sarah’s Symphony Tour. We have eagerly been waiting for the dates to see this fantastic concert in person. You can view the cities and dates on the link below and obtain ticket information. I hope to see you there!
Stunning and incredible!! This is a tour you just cannot miss. If you tuned in to PBS for the viewing, you know what a treat it was but there is nothing quite like seeing it live! The staging is wonderful and Celine, as always, fantastic in voice and performance. You have got to love these two together. “Because We Believe” (Ama Credi E Vai) is a darling song, has a wonderful hook and speaks to everyone’s heart. With Bocelli’s voice and David as pianist, you are taken to another place…a wonderful nightcap and the fireworks are a bonus.
Tenors Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti perform in a 1980 concert in Rome, Zubin Mehta conducts a medley of show tunes and opera classics, including “Nessum Dorma, “Tonight” and “O Sole Mio” and more on PBS local affiliates on Sunday, June 8, 2008. Check your local PBS affiliates for time and channels in your viewing area. This is truly a classic “must-see” performance and one for recording and/or purchasing!
Celine’s “A New Day” Concert, Live from Las Vegas was aired on PBS on May 31 and will re-air again on June 4, June 7 in the WETA viewing area. This is a wonderful concert and if you have not seen in in person or have the DVD, check out your local PBS affiliates for time and channels.
Celine is truly a “phenom” and an incredible performer.
